Villanova video
Congratulations to those that picked Coach McCafferty as the coach in the video. I appeared towards the end of the video with our 4 X 880 team beating Georgetown at the Penn Relays of 1966. The people with me are Dave Patrick ( soon to be the indoor world recorded holder for the 880 yard run and ranked first in the world at 1500 meters in 1967), Ian Hamilton ( a Irish runner who is now an accountant in Ireland), Craig Nation ( a walk on at Villanova - best high school time of 2:02 - ran 1:49.0 for 880 yards in College and is now a professor at Carlisle College)
The Georgetown runner that was beaten by Dave Patrick is Rick Urbana who was indoor NCAA 880 yard champion in 1966 and is now a federal judge.

Cross Country Banquet
Congratulations to the Monsignor Donovan 2008 Cross Country Team. They were undefeated (7-0) and won the class "B" south title for the third year in a row. I believe that they have lost only one dual meet in the last 4 years, which puts their 4 year record at 25 wins and 1 loss - Pretty impressive. Also congratulations to Dan Koerner and Brandon Zisa for being placed on the second all-county team, and to Graham Matthews for making the third all county team.
Special awards were presented. Dan Koerner was awarded the "MVP" plaque, Brandon Zisa and Graham Matthews were presented the "captain's award", Kevin Schenck received the "Most Dedicated" award, and Ed Stone was given the "top freshman" plaque.
